Balayage in Delray Beach
Hand-painted, lived-in color that grows out softly. Balayage at Pier Blondie starts at $275, and every appointment begins with a consultation.

What balayage is, and who it suits
Balayage is a freehand lightening technique. The colorist paints lightener onto the surface of the hair instead of weaving it into foils, so the brightness is soft at the root and stronger through the mid-lengths and ends. The result looks sun-lightened rather than striped, and there is no hard line as it grows.
It suits you if you want brightness without a strict upkeep schedule. Because the root stays close to your natural shade, most clients come back every 12 to 16 weeks, with a gloss in between to keep the tone fresh.
At Pier Blondie in Delray Beach, balayage and ombre start at $275. The final price depends on length, density and how much lift your starting color needs, and you hear it at consultation, before anything is mixed.

Many clients have both in one appointment: foils around the face for brightness, balayage through the rest for softness.
Before you book
- How much does balayage cost in Delray Beach?
- At Pier Blondie, balayage and ombre start at $275. Length, density and how much lift your starting color needs decide the final price, and you hear it at consultation, before any color is mixed. A gloss or toner between visits starts at $50.
- How long does balayage last?
- The lightening itself is permanent. What fades is the tone. Most clients refresh their balayage every 12 to 16 weeks and book a gloss or toner every 6 to 8 weeks in between.
- Does balayage work on dark or brunette hair?
- Yes. Dark hair lifts in stages, so a first appointment usually lands on caramel, honey or soft bronde rather than pale blonde. If you want to go lighter than that, we plan it over more than one visit and tell you so before we start.
- Balayage or highlights, which should I choose?
- Choose balayage for a soft, lived-in result with fewer visits. Choose foil highlights for more lift, a brighter blonde, or brightness right at the root. Many clients combine the two. We decide at consultation, looking at your hair rather than a photo.
- Can balayage cover gray?
- Balayage blends gray rather than covering it. Lighter pieces placed around the gray soften the contrast, so regrowth is less obvious. Full coverage needs a root color as well, which starts at $80.
- How should I prepare for a balayage appointment?
- Bring two or three photos of color you like and one you do not. Tell us about any box dye, henna or smoothing treatment from the past two years, even if it has grown out. Come with dry, detangled hair. It does not need to be freshly washed.
